How I Clean My Make-Up Brushes
Happy first day of Spring everyone! You might have already seen how I clean my makeup brushes on snapchat (@TheStyleRaid), it’s one of those tasks that you know you need to keep doing but want to put off or get done as quickly as possible. A couple of months ago I bought the Sigma Express Cleaning Glove, it has different textures to help rinse, wash and refine your brushes depending on whether you’re cleaning foundation, blusher or eyeshadow brushes. The different textures help clean all of them, and I even recently used it to clean my Real Techniques makeup sponge. It deep cleans all of your brushes and gets rid of makeup residue really easily.
There are so many different make up brush cleaners that you can buy, alcohol based (which can dry out your brushes) and non alcohol based. I’ve tried some of them before but in all honesty I think all you need is baby shampoo…yes that’s right, and I even found a bottle in Tesco for £1. I’m sure there are some amazing makeup brush cleaners out there but for £1 you really can’t go wrong and I’m so happy with the soft finish it leaves the bristles.
